Experience Matters

Meet Our Clinical Leaders

At the Bergand Group, our Clinical Coordinators have over 20 years of experience each in managing client care. They lead our offices and treatment programs – oftentimes they are the first contact our clients have. Our leaders ensure that our clients receive the all of the services that best fit their needs.

Deanna Scirica, LCSW-C

Clinical Director – Lutherville/ Fallston Offices

Deanna landed in the addiction medicine field during college. She took an addiction counseling class as an elective for her human services degree and realized that she had found her passion. It helped her to understand and become more aware of her own friends and family who had struggled with substance use disorder over the years. Deanna has continuously had some very close, personal relationships impacted by addiction. Deanna went on to get her master’s in social work with a concentration in behavioral health. She took a brief break from substance abuse disorder treatment to spend more time with her daughter when she was an infant and, during this time she continued to work at a private practice. Prior to her new adventure with The Bergand Group she worked at Mountain Manor Treatment Centers and Access Carroll, where she was able to learn more about the forensic component of substance abuse counseling. Deanna is a proud LCSW-C and board-certified supervisor for LGPC’s, and substance use disorder counselors.
